Sakaguchi, who worked for Square before it became Square Enix, was one of the main figures behind every Final Fantasy game until he left the company in 2003, from the 1987 original all the way through Final Fantasy 10-2, including spinoff titles like Final Fantasy Tactics. On Halloween, just over a month later, Sakaguchi has blazed a path through the main scenario of Final Fantasy 14 and its three expansion packs, catching up just in time for Endwalker’s release in a few weeks.
